76-year-old man dies in car crash near Williston
WILLISTON, Fla. (WGFL) —
A Williston man died Thursday after his SUV ran off the road and struck a utility pole.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 76-year-old Elmer Wayne Huggins died at the scene. The crash happened at 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of NE 30 Street and U.S. Highway 41
Troopers say Huggins was driving a 2006 Hyundai Tucson west on NE 30 Street when he drove through the intersection and onto the southwest shoulder. The SUV collided with a utility pole and continued into a field.
The crash is under investigation.
