Alachua County Sheriff's deputies identify 'person of interest' in deadly shooting
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WGFL) —
Alachua County Sheriff's deputies have identified a "person of interest" they'd like to talk to after a woman was shot to death in Hawthorne Friday night.
Deputies responded to a home at 7815 SE U.S. Highway 301 around 11:25 p.m. and found Christin Marie Cassels dead. Deputies say multiple rounds had been fired into the building from outside of the garage.
They say the suspect or suspects fled before they arrived. Deputies searched the area but didn't find anyone.
After talking to multiple witnesses, deputies say they are attempting to locate 21-year-old Blake Carrington Jackson as a person of interest in the case.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Det. Lance Yaeger at (352) 260-7588.
