Alachua County authorities confirm human bones found in a Newberry septic tank Monday are human.

Alachua County Sheriff Sgt. Chris Sims said deputies received a call this morning from a woman who said her septic tank provider was servicing the tank when they found skeletal remains inside.

Deputies responded to the home at 21700 block NW 52nd Place this morning.

Sims said the county medical examiner and forensic anthropologists from the C.A. Pound Lab at the University of Florida have confirmed they are human remains.

Sims said they're still investigating but it's not considered a homicide investigation at this time.

CBS News 4's Gabby Arzola is at the scene.
