Alachua shooting victim has been identified -- and he was targeted before
Quantrale Gaskins, 19, was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds inside an Alachua home Monday.
But this wasn’t the first time he was targeted.
Police say Gaskins was a victim in another shooting just two months ago, at a home across the street on Northwest 155 Lane.
In that shooting, police say Gaskins was sitting in a car with another man when someone fired at least four rounds at the vehicle.
Police say Gaskins escaped with a graze.
No arrests were made in that shooting, and police are still investigating whether either case is related to a pair of gang-related shootings in January.
Alachua Police believe people in the community know who killed Gaskins, and they're asking them to come forward.
