Deputies: Bradford High School student charged with felony for bringing BB gun to class
STARKE, Fla. (WGFL) —
A Bradford High School student has been charged with a felony after deputies say he took a BB gun onto school grounds.
Bradford County Sheriff's deputies say they received an anonymous tip from several students that a student assigned to the Behavioral Intervention Center had a gun in his backpack. Deputies say they searched the student's backpack and found an unloaded, semi-auto replica BB gun.
Deputies say the student was charged with possession of a firearm on school grounds, a third-degree felony, and taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Deputies thanked students for reporting the gun.
