Former Alachua County teacher accused of recording sex with 14-year-old trafficking victim
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WGFL) —
A former teacher at Oak View Middle School is accused of recording sexual acts with a 14-year-old sex trafficking victim.
The FBI last month charged Jeffrey Farrell Davis with child sex trafficking and using a minor to produce child pornography. The Alachua County School District says Davis taught at the school from 2010 to 2015.
An affidavit says investigators learned about the 14-year-old victim through Partnership for Strong Families. The victim told agents that two men advertised her on Backpage.com and took her to various locations across North Central Florida where she was forced to have sex for money, which the two men kept. The victim told agents she was forced to do this about 100 times in April and May of this year.
The victim helped lead agents to Davis, a regular client who made her wear her hair in pigtails and recorded the sexual acts, according to the affidavit. Agents discovered Davis moved to Colorado in August and searched his apartment there soon after.
The affidavit says Davis admitted recording the sexual acts with the victim but told agents he thought she was old enough to consent.
