Gainesville woman hospitalized, three arrested after overnight home invasion

Alachua County Sheriff's deputies charged 37-year-old Lekesha Grant  with home invasion involving a weapon after they say she, along with a 14-year-old and 15-year-old, forced their way into a woman's home and beat her with boards for $70 in cash. 

A 37-year-old woman and two teens are in jail after Alachua County Sheriff's deputies say they broke into a woman's home and beat her with boards before taking off with $70 in cash.

It happened about 11:30 p.m. at 6723 SW 5th Place, deputies say.

Deputies charged 37-year-old Lekesha Grant, 15-year-old Montrell Carter and 14-year-old Carter with home invasion robbery.

The sheriff's office says the victim was hospitalized.

No more details have been released. The sheriff's office is having an 11:45 a.m. press conference.
