Florida Highway Patrol Trooper William Trampas Bishop laid to rest
LAKE CITY, Fla. (WGFL) —
Law enforcement agencies have traveled across the country to pay their respects to fallen Florida Highway Patrol Trooper William Trampas Bishop.
Bishop died in the line of duty Saturday night after he was struck by a car while working a crash on the shoulder of I-75.
His funeral began at 11 a.m. with statements from Florida Gov. Rick Scott and several others.
Authorities say they expect as many as 2,000 law enforcement officers to join the procession after the funeral.
