Man arrested after woman uses knife to fend off attacker in Gainesville park
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WGFL) —
Gainesville Police have arrested a man accused of attacking a woman near Bo Diddly Park.
Police charged 24-year-old Hykeem Ford-Marlin with battery and indecent exposure.
The incident happened July 8th when a man grabbed the victim's arms and kissed her breasts over her shirt after she walked out of the park bathroom.
The victim told police she pulled out a pen-knife to ward the man off. That's when he exposed himself and masturbated in front of her, according to a police report.
Police say the victim identified Ford-Marlin in a police lineup. He was arrested Saturday night and is being held on $50,000 bond at the Alachua County Jail.
