"Out of service" signs are becoming a popular sight at gas pumps across the region, but officials say outages should be temporary.

AAA Florida says there isn't a fuel shortage, just outages at various gas stations as demand rises after Hurricane Harvey and in anticipation of Hurricane Irma.

Prices are also getting steeper. AAA says Harvey's impact on Texas oil refineries drove the price up to the highest Labor Day average in three years. As of today, Florida's average is $2.71, five cents higher than the national average.
