Ocala welcomes home Three 2018 Winter Olympic Speed Skaters
Joey Mantia, Erin Jackson and bronze medalist Brittany Bowe return home to Ocala after competing in the Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games.
"It means everything to represent the United States but even more so to represent the town I came from, Ocala... I was born and raised here this is where I have my roots," Mantia Said.
Thousands of people gathered in downtown Ocala... old teachers, neighbors and fans to welcome home the Olympians.
"To be able to bring home this medal to Ocala to Florida, that makes it all worth it," Bowe said.
Erin Jackson said she saw a lot of people she hasn't seen in a while.
"It's amazing just to see everyone, it's nice to see the support," Jackson said.
Mayor Kent Guinn gave each of them a "Key To The City". He said it's unusual for winter athletes to come from Florida but they did most of their training in Salt Lake City.
"The fact that we have three of them in the Olympics is even more amazing so we're really happy about that," Guinn said.
It might not be the last welcome home celebration... all three athletes said they want to compete again in 2022.
