The bassist for the rock group Adrenaline Mob died and seven others were injured Friday after a tractor-trailer crashed into the band's RV after it pulled over onto the shoulder of I-75.

The wreck happened about 12:15 p.m. near mile marker 372, igniting the side of the highway into flames.

The Highway Patrol said Saturday night that 38-year-old David Zablidowsky, a passenger in the RV, died in the crash. Troopers say five others inside the RV were injured, in addition to two men riding inside a GMC Sierra that was traveling with the RV and pulled onto the shoulder behind it.

In a Facebook post Saturday Adrenaline Mob band member Russell Allen confirmed widespread media reports that Zablidowsky, otherwise known as bassist David Z, died in the crash.

Patrick Dumon, a U.S. Marine who was driving by when he saw the fiery crash, was one of the first people to arrive on the scene after the crash.

"I've never seen that much blood, people crying out in pain," Dumon told CBS 4 News. "No one else was really pulling over. Everyone just kept driving by. And it kind of irritated me. Like there are people over there that could be needing help."

In his Facebook post, Allen thanked Dumon for helping him save members of the crew.

"I want to personally thank Marine Lance Cpl. Patrick Dumon for his bravery in assisting me pull our Driver Jason from the wreckage and for attending to his wounds. And for helping me to secure and attend to Jane once I was able to get her free from the fire. Without his selfless act of courage I would not have been able to get them clear of the RV before it was engulfed in flames. On behalf of my band and crew I thank you," Allen wrote.

Those injured on the RV were:

- 48-year-old Janet Revins of Pitts Pond, Pa.. She was listed in critical condition.

- 41-year-old Jason McCole of Wilksbarre Pa., the driver of the RV, was listed in serious condition.

- Allen, 38 of New Jersey, was listed in serious condition.

- 51-year-old Dale Campiglia of Levittown, NY, was listed in serious condition.

- 45-year-old Robert Dressler of Plaines, Pa., was listed in serious condition.

The driver and passenger of a GMC Sierra traveling with the RV were also listed in serious condition. They are: 27-year-old Jordan Cannata of NY and 46-year-old Mike Orlando.

The driver of the semi was not injured. No charges have been filed in the crash.

The crash caused the closure of the southbound lanes for nearly seven hours Friday.
