Teen accused of breaking into vehicles charged as adult in Levy County
BRONSON, Fla. (WGFL) —
A 17-year-old is being charged as an adult in connection to two burglaries last month.
The Levy County Sheriff's Office charged Qua'dre Tyremetris Dixon with grand theft, petty theft and two counts of burglary in connection with a pair of vehicle burglaries on June 11. Deputies say he stole a gun and other personal items.
Investigators say they found Dixon's fingerprints at one of the crime scenes. Investigators interviewed Dixon three days later after a Gainesville Police officer took him into custody on an unrelated case.
A Levy County judge granted deputies' request to upgrade the charges against Dixon as an adult. He's being held on $110,000 bond.
