Two people killed, one injured in Levy County crash
WILLISTON, Fla. (WGFL) —
Two people died and a third person was injured when a pickup truck overturned in Levy County Sunday.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 42-year-old Josh H. Renna of St. Petersburg and a 34-year-old man whose name has not been released yet, both died in the crash after they were ejected from the vehicle. Troopers say 33-year-old Tyler Michael Pavlich of Largo was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers say the crash happened at 2:47 p.m. on County Road 40 and Southeast 115th Avenue. They say a 2002 Chevy pickup truck with three occupants was traveling west and hauling a small trailer when it drifted off the shoulder. Troopers say the driver, who hasn't been identified yet, over-corrected, causing the truck to overturn.
Troopers say they're still trying to determine who was driving the truck at the time of the crash.
