Wanted Wednesday: Levy County deputies searching for man with drug warrants
WILLISTON, Fla. (WGFL) —
A Levy county man is untraceable to authorities and they are asking for your help to find him.
36-year-old Scott Richard Eldridge has six warrants out for his arrest with a total bond of $300,000.
Levy County Sheriff's deputies say Eldridge offered to sell a secret informant Oxycodone in late 2016.
He is wanted for three counts of possession and three counts of delivery of opium.
Lieutenant Scott Tummond of the Levy County Sheriff’s Office said they didn't arrest Eldridge right away because they didn't want to tip their hand.
"If we make the arrest immediately, that undercover officer's identity or that source's identity is no longer useful,” Tummond said. “So that stops the investigation."
Deputies have lost track of Eldridge, but Tummond says they believe he's still in the area.
“He probably has no idea these warrants even exist at this moment,” Tummond said. “We need to get him picked up and off the street because we know he did not stop selling drugs."
Eldridge has brown hair and brown eyes. He's about 5’9 and 150 pounds. He occasionally wears glasses. If you see Eldridge, call Crime Stoppers at (352) 486-5111.
