Oak Hall goaltender Ailey Tebbett signs with Gators soccer
The craze of National Signing Day isn't quite over yet.
On Friday morning, goalkeeper Ailey Tebbett of Oak Hall School officially signed her NLI to become a Florida Gator. She's the first-ever goaltender in the Gainesville area to be recruited by UF.
Tebbett played six years with the Eagles and was team captain for her entire career. She tallied a record-number 1,075 saves.
When she was eight years old, she began her career with an all-boys under-10 team. As a high school freshman, she was selected to the Olympic Development Program state pool.
"It's unreal being able to play in my hometown," Tebbett said. "It's such a great program that I'm going to be playing for. It's just a dream come true. Growing up, I've always watched the Gators. They've had so much success in the past, and they have really great coaches and incredible facilities. I'm just really excited to go there."
