AUSTIN, Texas (KEYE) - Thursday's preseason NFL game between the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans has been canceled, CBSDFW reports.

The game was to be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, but the game was called off so Houston players can return home to their families after Tropical Storm Harvey inundated the city with flooding, reports the Houston Chronicle.

The Texans have been practicing at the Cowboys facilities at The Star in Frisco after being unable to return home following a preseason game in New Orleans on Aug. 26.
