Report: Beyonce gives birth to twins
Beyonce is a new mom.
The singer and her husband Jay Z welcomed twins earlier this week, according to multiple sources.
The 35-year-old R&B star announced she was pregnant again in February by posting a shot of her baby bump on social media.
"We would like to share our love and happiness," Beyonce captioned the stunning shot, which caught fans by surprise.
"We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes."
Beyonce pulled the plug on plans to perform at the Coachella festival in California in April upon doctors' advice, and Lady Gaga stepped in for her.
Reports she had become a mom began swirling this week when rapper Jay Z missed his Songwriters Hall of Fame induction on Thursday night. The 47-year-old musician, real name Shawn Carter, was honored at the gala in New York City, where he became the first rapper inducted into the prestigious institution, but he was a no-show, leading gossips to suggest more important things were happening at home.
Sources also told E! News that he was spotted heading into a Los Angeles hospital alongside his 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy. An unidentified woman was also seen entering the hospital carrying two baby foot-shaped pink and blue balloons and flowers with a card that read, "Congratulations B & J."
Beyonce and the "99 Problems" hitmaker tied the knot in 2008 and recently celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary.
