19-year-old accused of sexually assaulting minor in Oaks Mall dressing room
A 19-year-old Lake City man is accused of sexually assaulting a girl as she tried on clothes inside a dressing room inside The Oaks Mall Thursday.
Alachua County Sheriff's deputies charged Jeremy Dixon with sexual assault on a victim younger than 18 and older than 12.
An arrest affidavit says Dixon and the victim were in a non-intimate relationship after her parents told them they could only be friends because of their age difference.
Deputies say the pair went shopping at Dillard's Thursday. Here's what happened next, according to the affidavit:
The victim picked out several dresses she wanted to try on. Dixon followed her inside the room. The victim told Dixon she did not feel comfortable changing in front of him, but his response was that he would "see it anyway." The victim, confused by the statement, changed into the dresses, leaving her pants on.
The victim told investigators Dixon began to kiss her and grope her. She said he started to unbutton her pants and performed oral sex on her even though she told him to stop. The victim said she froze and did not know what to do because she was scared.
When it was over deputies say Dixon told her not to tell anyone because he was already under investigation in another county for a similar situation with another female minor.
When Dixon was asked about the situation, deputies say Dixon admitted to the allegations.
Dixon is being held on a $110,000 bond.
