Alachua County Jail inmate found dead
Officials are investigating a death in the Alachua County Jail.
The inmate, 36-year-old Elizabeth Talbot, was found around 6 Wednesday morning, and her cause of death is yet to been determined.
Detention officers say Talbot had been staying in the infirmary, but they have not released why.
They say when they went to wake Talbot they found her unresponsive.
Officials called EMS and tried to resuscitate her, but were unsuccessful.
Law enforcement says Talbot was found alone and they haven't found signs of foul play in this incident.
“After life saving attempts, EMS on scene pronounced her deceased and now it's just work with the medical examiner to find out what happened,” said Art Forgey with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials gave her home address as Grace Marketplace.
They say she was arrested on October 6 for trespassing, and was awaiting her court date.
Officials say they are waiting on the autopsy to determine the cause of death.
