A Fort White man died Friday after his motorcycle was involved in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 27 near the Alachua-Columbia County Line.

Troopers identified the man as 69-year-old Daniel Fredrick Lins.

Authorities say the wreck happened about 1:40 p.m. just west of the bridge in Columbia County.

Troopers say a Jeep Renegade was northbound on U.S. 27 when it collided with a Chrysler 300. The collision caused the Chrysler to travel into the path of a 2018 Harley-Davidson driven by Lins. Lins died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
