Bradford animal shelter needs your help
The Bradford County Animal Control Shelter is overflowing, and the shelter is asking for your help.
"These animals are very good animals,” said Tracy Sayles, manager of the Bradford County Animal Shelter. “They still have life left in them. They still have a lot of love to share with somebody. They want families too."
The shelter is over capacity and the county isn't a no-kill county. They're asking for your help to give these animals loving homes as even more come in day by day.
"This being a very rural community without a metropolis to draw funds from,” Sayles said. “Means our funding is very limited."
The shelter is holding 31 dogs with about 25 cages. There are currently 20 cats with 20 cages.
All animals are properly vaccinated—all they need is a loving family.
"Help spread the word that we have good animals,” Sayles said. We do get some very nice, very well behaved previously trained animals here."
If you can't adopt, the shelter is asking for donations. They say they're always in need of toys, blankets, food and cat litter.
"Just because it is a pound animal, doesn't mean it is a throw away," Sayles said.
