Williston man accused of stealing tools from construction site
A Williston man was arrested Thursday after Levy County Sheriff's deputies say he stole tools and supplies from a construction site.
Deputies say David Lee Runion stole about $860 in tools from the site back in June. Deputies say Runion stole an additional $1,380 in construction supplies when they returned to the construction site on July 4 and 5.
Runion was found at a home outside of Williston where deputies say he admitted to these thefts. He then directed investigators to a pile of stole property, some of which had already been sold to buyers. Investigators were also able to recover a stolen four wheeler and many of the stolen tools and supplies have been returned to the owners.
Investigators charged Runion with two counts of burglary, three counts of grand theft, and one count of dealing in stolen property. His bond has been set at $160,000.
With the case still under investigation, deputies expect to file more charges.
