Cox said all customers in Gainesville now have access to Gigabit speed internet which will allow multiple devices to be in use simultaneously for an advanced experience.

It also allows you to stream h-d videos, movies, music, and photos in the matter of seconds.

"The gig speed is so important to make a city, a smart city, where a lot of different things are connected... we have a lot of technology and this is one step forward towards that. ," Cox Public Affairs Manager Cam Johnson said.
