Gainesville Fire-Rescue extricated a driver from a car Wednesday after a three-vehicle crash involving a semi.

Firefighters say they responded in about four minutes to the 1 p.m. crash at Northeast 23rd Avenue and North Main Street. They say they found a driver trapped inside a car that was heavily damaged by a tractor-trailer.

Firefighters say they extricated the driver about eight minutes after starting the process. They say the conscious patient was taken to the hospital. Everyone else involved declined treatment.
