Early voting starts for Florida voters
Early voting has begun for the November 6th General Election.
“This election is the 2018 general election so it’s a big ballot and a lot of ballot referendum items that people will be deciding on, there will be many candidates,” said TJ Pyche with the Alachua County Elections Office.

Shelby Taylor at the non-partisan Bob Graham Center at the University of Florida said it is important to know the amendments on the ballot before you go to the polls.
“Important things for Florida voters to know is that they should inform themselves before going to the polling place estimates say you could spend upwards of 30 minutes if you don’t know how you’re going to vote ahead of time," Taylor said.
There is free parking for early voters at the J. Wayne Reitz Union.
“This is an opportunity for anyone who is a UF students, faculty, members of the community who happen to come to the university to make sure their voice is going to be heard during this election.”
