The Florida Highway Patrol is asking the public's help identifying a car that struck and killed a 22-year-old woman riding a moped and then kept going Saturday.

The crash happened about 6:30 p.m. on State Road 40 near NW 49th Ave.

Troopers say 22-year-old Gypsy Star McEntire of Ocala was riding a moped west on State Road 40 when a silver Chrysler 300 struck her from behind and kept going. McEntire was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center where she died about 9 p.m., according to a Highway Patrol report.

Troopers say the car was likely a 2005 to 2015 Chrysler 300. They say the four-door vehicle will likely have significant front-end damage, including a missing front chrome grill and missing fog lamps. It was last seen traveling north on NW 53rd Court.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Highway Patrol at 1-800-387-1290.
