Alachua County Sheriff's deputies arrested a woman Saturday who allegedly pulled a gun on a man as he got in his car, then on his mother after she attempted to knock the gun away.

An arrest report says 37-year-old Anna Heitzman got into an argument with the man because he had not spoken to her since he and his mother drove from Alabama to Gainesville for a funeral.

The mother-in-law told police Heitzman and her son were yelling on the front porch when she ran into the house and he went to leave in his car. The report says Heitzman then pointed a "medium-sized" gun that folded out to become larger, at the car as the man was pulling out of the driveway.

Another witness who was in the house during the incident told police he saw Heitzman leave her bedroom with a gun, walk toward the front porch and threaten to kill the man.

The report says Heitzman's mother-in-law saw Heitzman point the gun at the car, grabbed the barrel and tried pushing it to the ground. As the two wrestled over the gun, the report says Heitzman turned the gun on her mother-in-law, pointing it at her chest.

The mother-in-law told deputies she got knocked down during the confrontation but was able to get to the neighbor's house.

Deputies say they surrounded Heitzman's house and attempted to call her out for over two hours before she finally exited. The report says she told officers she was watching TV in her bedroom and did not hear any sirens or PA announcements.

Heitzman denied being in a fight with the man or mother-in-law but did confirm a gun was kept in her bedroom and that it belonged to her husband.

Heitzman was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

She's being held at the Alachua County Jail on $20,000 bond.
