Investigators: Man shot to death inside McIntosh home as deputies were responding
Marion County Sheriff's investigators say a man was shot to death inside a McIntosh home as deputies were on their way there to investigate a 911 call.
Deputies say at 11:40 p.m. they were dispatched to a "verbal disturbance" call at a house on the 20300th block of NW 1st Street in McIntosh, just south of the Alachua County Line.
While en route, deputies say they learned someone was shot inside the home. They arrived at the house and found an adult white male who had been shot. He later died at a local hospital, deputies say. His identity has not been released.
Deputies say they identified everyone involved and at this point no charges have been made. The shooting remains under investigation.
