March for Our Lives leaders encourage UF students to vote
The group founded in the days after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school was at the University of Florida on Monday encouraging students to vote.
Students from the local and national chapter of March for Our Lives gathered at Turlington plaza to encourage students to vote.
Students were able to get free t- shirts, backpacks and Krispy Kreme donuts in exchange for voting or planning to vote on November 6th.
David Hogg from march for our lives said voting gives young people a voice.
" Politicians from both parties don't care about us right now because young people don't turn out to vote. The only way that's going to change is by young people making their voice heard and letting politicians know that if they don't care about young people, young people will vote them out of office."
