Gainesville, Fla. -- A Williston mother who lost her daughter in an ATV accident is using her loss to give back to others.
Happy: that's how Sherry Morales remembers her 9-year-old daughter Kimberly.
"You would never see Kimberly without a smile on her face. Everybody knew her and could relate to her by her smile,” Morales said.
Kimberly Morales was pronounced dead on Wednesday after she was pinned beneath an ATV she was riding in a field.
For her family the loss is tragic, but through her loss Sherry has found a way to give hope to others: by donating Kimberly’s organs.
"How can I be sad when I know that a little boy or little girl can have my daughter's heart? They can live a long happy life. They can run, jump, play and dance something my daughter loved to do,” Morales said.
Sherry said she finds happiness in knowing that her daughter's organs could one day save another child's life.
"If her organs can help some other child alive or keep some family from going through the pain I’m going through -- what greater gift can you give than the gift of life,” Morales said.
The family has set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for funeral costs.
