Ocala physical therapist accused of groping two women at Gainesville rehab center
Gainesville Police have arrested an Ocala physical therapist accused of groping two women at a Gainesville rehabilitation center.
Investigators charged 57-year-old Charles Roger Thomas with indecent exposure and two counts of battery on a person 65 or older.
An arrest report says one of the victims was an 84-year-old resident at Palm Garden Health Care. She told police she met Thomas on July 30th for rehab and he took her to the gym where they were alone.
The report says he approached her from behind and massaged her breasts with both hands for several minutes for no reason. The victim told investigators she was terrified, humiliated and froze because she didn't know how to get away and wasn't strong enough to defend herself. The report says Thomas is 6-foot-6 and 250 pounds.
The victim told police she was supposed to meet with Thomas again the next day but refused.
Police also charged Thomas in connection with a second incident in which investigators say he exposed his genitals and touched another woman.
Thomas is being held at the Alachua County Jail on $50,000 bond.
