GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WGFL) — Gainesville Police say Obadiah Dillard will be charged in connection to six robberies committed over seven days.
Dillard, 40, was arrested 45 minutes after police say he robbed the Wells Fargo on 13th Street and fled on a bicycle Wednesday afternoon. Police immediately identified him as a suspect in five other robberies by someone riding a bike.
Officer Ben Tobias said Dillard admitted to robbing all of the businesses. He said they've also found evidence tying him to each of the crimes.
One of the previous robberies this week happened at Alliance Credit Union. Police say Dillard served time in prison for robbing the same credit union in 2009.
Dillard's being held at the Alachua County Jail on $750,000 bond.
