A 19-year-old Santa Fe College student told police she was sexually assaulted at knifepoint while on campus Sunday night.

Santa Fe College Police Chief Ed Book said it happened between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the south end of the college's northwest campus.

The woman told police she was approached by a man with a knife who forced her inside his car and sexually assaulted her.

The man is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male about 25 to 30 years old. The car is described as an older model four-door sedan.

Book said the information was shared with the college community and other law enforcement agencies. He said they've been investigating non-stop.

"We have very few crimes like this reported at Santa Fe College and one is too many," Book said.
