Sneak Peek Tour: Whole Foods opening its doors in Gainesville

Lounge area with free wifi

Whole Foods opens its doors in Gainesville on May 9th but CBS 4 got a sneak peek tour to show you its exciting new features before it opens to the community.

This brand new Whole Foods located in Butler Plaza is 40,000 Sq. Ft. and has 160 team members.

Everything is local: the produce are from local farmers, the fish from local anglers and the design is inspired by Gainesville's history.

Whole Foods officials say every location is different because they try to cater to each community they serve.

"There are a lot of unique features in this store, you can design your own Acai bowl, we have Detroit deep dish style pizza, we have a Ramen station," Field Marketing Associate Jessica Banish said.

She said they offer a lot of grab-and-go selections which include pre-made meals from an in house chef. They also have a juice section and lounge area where you can enjoy your coffee and use the free wifi.

Doors open at 9 am 5/9. The first 500 customers will receive a mystery gift card with up to $500 rewards.
