GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WGFL) -- University of Florida police are investigating the report of a sexual battery on campus Saturday night.
UFPD says they learned of the incident after the victim told a food services supervisor about it. Investigators say the victim doesn't want to report the incident at this time, but they did get details from a supervisor.
Police say the supervisor told them the victim was in an alleyway north of the Florida Gym and south of the Student Recreation and Fitness Center between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. when a man she didn't know approached her from behind and sexually battered her.
Police say the victim was unable to provide a description of the suspect or additional details of the incident.
