Vehicle crashes into Levy County school bus in Chiefland
CHIEFLAND, Fla. (WGFL) —
Authorities in Levy County are investigating a crash involving a school bus in Chiefland this morning.
The Levy County Sheriff's Office says it happened about 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Park Avenue. Deputies say a vehicle ran a red light and struck Bus 1705 near the rear axle.
Deputies say some minor injuries, mostly bumps and bruises, were reported. Four special needs students were evaluated as a precaution.
Once the children were 'triple-checked' they were put on another bus and sent to school.
