An Ocala woman was killed in a two-vechicle crash on Interstate 75 north of Ocala early Thursday morning.
Florida Highway Patrol have identified the crash victim as Twila Robinson, 44. Troopers say she was driving a Toyota Corolla north on I-75 in the right outside lane at 5:20 a.m. That's when they say a BMW-3 Series struck the left rear section of Robinson's car.
The collision caused Robinson to lose control of her vehicle. She entered the east grass shoulder of I-75 where she continued to travel down the east shoulder, overturn and then hit multiple trees, troopers say.
Officials sayRobinson was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car through the broken sunroof.
Marion County Fire-Rescue pronounced Robinson dead at the scene.
The Highway Patrol is investigating.
