Family finds python in toilet at Seattle apartment complex
SEATTLE - A Seattle family found an unusual guest camping out in their bathroom Friday night: a four-feet-long snake.
The family called police after their young daughter discovered the snake in the toilet at their apartment complex in the Lake City neighborhood.
Officers worked with the family and the apartment complex to remove the snake and keep it safe until the Pacific Northwest Herpetological Society could come and claim it.
Officials at the Pacific Northwest Herpetological Society said it appears to be a ball python, which are non-venomous, and was most likely someone's pet.
Seattle Police are asking if you recognize the snake as your pet to claim it by calling 206-625-5011.
