Where and when this week to see 1 of the best meteor showers of the year
The Geminid Meteor Shower will be visible this week, bringing one of the best meteor showers of the year to the night sky.
The best viewing times are Wednesday night and Thursday morning with up to 120 meteors visible per hour. The best time and place to see this meteor shower is after midnight in a very dark sky away from lights.
The Geminid Meteor Shower has bright meteors with little moonlight to complete with to be seen at night. Last year, the December supermoon made it difficult to see the full meteor shower.
It stems from the Gemini constellation but can be seen from all points of the sky.
