Police searching for a woman who violated her probation for possession of drugs
The Alachua County Sheriff's Office is searching for a woman who they say violated her probation for possession of methamphetamine.
28-year-old Stacie Sheffield, first ran into trouble with police in 2016 when she was stopped in her car and arrested on drug charges.
“Since then her case has made its way through the court process and as recently as this summer she has violated the terms of her probation and our Warrants Investigators are currently looking for her," said Alachua County spokesmen Brett Rhodenizer.
Officials say they have received new information that leads them to believe she is using methamphetamine again and they are concerned about the crimes that potentially come along with this kind of drug use.
“She is currently wanted for a violation of her probation of that conviction for the possession of narcotics,” said Rhodenizer.
Authorities are trying to find Sheffield before she gets herself into more trouble.
“We still do believe Mrs. Sheffield is in the local area, she does have history in High Springs, Micanopy, Gainesville so we ask anyone that comes in contact with her to notify their local law enforcement so we can get her the help that she needs," said Rhodenizer.
Stacie Sheffield is 28 years-old, she is 5'7" and weighs 150 pounds. If you have any information you are urged to call crime stoppers at 352-372-STOP
