WANTED: Officials say teenager on the run, with a violent past
On this weeks Wanted Wednesday the Levy County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a teenager who they say—has already made it known to his family that he’s not going down without a fight.
Gerald Coleman, 19, is wanted for violation of probation—but officials say that hasn’t stopped him from committing more crimes.
Williston Police are also looking for him because he is linked to a recent armed robbery.
Officials say he isn’t necessarily a “model citizen,” school resource officers have said he has a violent past.
“He is known to be armed, and he has made statements to family that should he be cornered, he will not be taken alive and he intends to fight with law enforcement,” says Lt. Scott Tummond, from the Levy County Sheriff’s Office.
The Levy County Sheriffs Office suspects Coleman to be hiding in the Gainesville area, if you see him, officials say to not approach him and just call 911.
“If he gets the inkling that maybe you’re trying to assist law enforcement, he could use that same weapon against you,”says Lt. Tummond.
Here is his description:
Name: Gerald Coleman
Weight: 155 lbs.
