Wanted Wednesday: Man wanted for violating probation on grand theft charges
Billy Wayne Wilson Jr. has a criminal history dating back to 2012.
He’s been in trouble with the law several times for offenses ranging from credit card fraud to battery.
When it comes to theft, ACSO deputies say he’s a repeat offender.
“Our primary concern is this is someone who has demonstrated a willingness and ability to steal from others and we want to make sure that doesn't continue,” Sgt. Brett Rhodenizer said.
Deputies say Wilson is accused of stealing building materials from a company and pawning them before fleeing the area.
" We believe based on that investigation that he was using those proceeds to support a drug habit,” Rhodenizer said.
Deputies say they see crime like this often, and its one they want to see stop.
" This is something that we see on a fairly regular basis. Stealing, theft or other crimes to support a narcotics habit. Whether that crime is a choice or physiological addiction we want to make sure that the behavior stops,” Rhodenizer said.
Here is his description:
