Wanted Wednesday: Woman accused of stealing to feed drug habit
BRONSON, Fla. (WGFL) —
The Levy County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a woman who they say, is not afraid to steal your stuff to get her fix, now deputies are asking for your help to find her.
Donyahl Adams, 42, is on the run after she failed to complete four of her probation requirements.
“She would go into homes of people that she knew, and knew that when they were out of town, she would then take their electronics and sell them to her other friends, or trade them for drugs that supported her drug addiction at the time,” says Lt. Scott Tummond, Levy County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
Deputies say she was heavily addicted to prescription pills like OxyContin, and believe she could be back on it.
“If she is drug dependent again, she’ll go back to right back to what she knows to support her habit, and that is to steal,” says Lt. Tummond.
Adams moved away without notifying the sheriff’s office, and they suspect she could be in Taylor, Dixie, or Levy County.
“We’ll be glad to pick her up, and see if we can help get her life straightened out,” says Lt. Tummond.
