KeVaughn Allen eases concerns with a breakout game

Everyone was worried about junior guard KeVaughn Allen's production on the court... until last night happened.

Allen had become a major concern for the program after struggling to score through most of this season, but head coach Mike White consistently reminded everyone that he'd eventually have a big game.

"He was great, wasn't he?" said head coach Mike White. "Wow did he play a great game. His teammates are happy for him. I'm happy for his teammates because he needed it and we needed it."

Last night Allen put up 28 points and made six three-pointers.

"We've been wanting it to happen for a while now," said graduate senior guard Egor Koulechov. "The student section had a big sign for him. Shooters shoot."

"I always walk next to him and tell him just shoot the ball if you're open," said senior guard Chris Chiozza. "If you're not open, shoot it, we don't care."

The Gators are now preparing to take on No. 18 Kentucky in Lexington this Saturday.
