Local high school football players signed their National Letters of Intent today, furthering their athletic careers.
Buchholz High School is sending two players to Power Five conferences. Trent Whittemore has become a Gator, and Noah Keeter is headed to the University of California - Los Angeles.
In addition, quarterback Cam Orth signed with Long Island University, Victory Nelson with the U.S. Air Force Academy and Jakhai Mitchem with NW Missouri State.
P.K. Yonge is sending offensive tackle Kris Martin to Benedictine college. Martin received offers from Greensboro College, Trinity International University and Benedictine, but was won over by they Kansas-based college after an official visit.
The Gainesville Hurricanes had four players sign today. D'verik Daniel to Catawba College, Jalen Kelsey to Campbell University, Seth Cox to Valdosta State and Luke Matthews to the University of Florida.
Matthews signed as a preferred walk on and is taking after his father, Shane Matthews, who also played quarterback at Florida.
